Enter our poster competition to help the search for more foster carers
Calling all Scouts, Guides, Brownies, Cubs, and Beavers!
Can you design a fostering poster to help us find more foster homes for children in Somerset?
Being a great foster carer makes a real difference to children’s lives. It helps them through tough times and gives them the support they need to achieve a brighter future.
The winning entrant (who best helps us to communicate the fostering message in their design) will win £250 in outdoor clothing/equipment vouchers. The prize can be for you or your troop. It’s open to children and young people aged 18 or under, who are members of relevant organisations in Somerset.
You can enter individually or as a unit and design the poster in any A4 format, being as creative as you like.
The winning design will be produced and printed with our logo and will be used as a ‘Fostering in Somerset’ poster in 2018.
The competition is open to all guides, scouts, brownies, cubs, beavers, rainbows or similar youth organisations aged 18 or under. Participants can enter individually or as a group. Full T&Cs can be found here
Closing date is 11th May 2018
It will be judged by Cllr Frances Nicholson, Cabinet Member for Children and Families at Somerset County Council, during Foster Care Fortnight 14 – 27 May 2018.
The winner will be announced on the 28th May.
